Description

Terrestrial; heavy body, yellow to gray or light brown; black crossbands or blunt chevrons bordered with cream; tan to rusty vertebral band; belly white to cream with dark pigmentation heavier toward the tail; triangular head, heat-sensing pits, elliptical pupils; the tail ends with rattles; babies are grayish and much less bright than adults
